Saints Thirsty Thirds Purple Patch comes to an end.

After winning 8 games on the trot our purple patch came to an abrupt end yesterday when we lost to MOB. Here is a picture of the Saints thirsty thirds team, along with Josh who comes to support at most games (with Kimbo). Great fun and good exercise on the week end competing in the water polo league here in Gauteng. If only Lance and Bryan could will themselves out of their beds to stretch their lungs every now and again...

Josh's first haircut

Today was rather momentous in the life of Josh's hair - he had his first cut at "Chop It" hairdressers and has the certificate to prove it! Here he is sporting his new look and showing off his chopped off curls. Not all was lost however, as we asked the hairdresser to keep the curls at the back of his head - couldn't quite get rid of all of them just yet!

Wedding fever

We've been to two weddings over the past couple of week-ends (Bruce and Nadine's in Cape Town and Pete and Taryn's in Jo'burg this past Saturday). Both were lovely events and it was good to catch up with old friends.
Here is a photo of the "Syndicate" (i.e. the top four students in the Rhodes LLB class of '97) taken on Saturday. If you feel like starting an argument, best to steer clear of these four as you are guaranteed to come off second best (trust me, I know!)

Happy New Year....

The Carr Family wish you all a healthy and happy 2007.

Here are a few snaps from our time in the Eastern Cape. Many thanks to Cheryl for hosting us so well over Christmas (and for taking care of Josh superbly whilst we were in Cape Town) and to Jane, Julian and Kim for looking after us in Gonubie. It was great catching up with everyone. Josh particularly loved feeding the giraffes, paddling in the lagoons, mooching around the beaches and bonding with Des, his Grannies, cousins, uncles and aunts.

We have returned to a green pool and long grass but nothing that cannot be sorted... Bailey is back from the kennels looking slim and trim and is going in for his "de-nutting" op on Monday. Our thoughts will be with him. Lawrence and Elsie check in tomorrow and it will be good to hear of their respective festive season adventures.

8 weeks to go until our final member of the front row arrives - we are very excited.

New Years guess the baby name competition : You stand to win a pop up toaster with "three prong plug comes standard" if you correctly predict our new additions name by submitting your guesses as a comment to this site (see "comment" option below). No more then three name guesses per entrant will be allowed. As a steer, the names Edgar and Baksteen, whilst both elegant, do not appear on our shortlist, at this stage. The winner/s will be announced mid March and the judges decision will be final. Lawrence will audit the submissions and result for transparency. Good luck.

Take care and thanks for visiting.
